Fall EHS LAX Information

Hello Mighty Cougars,

I hope you all are adjusting to the ‘back to school’ groove.  I miss you all and can’t wait to start getting back on the field.

We have changed things up a bit for fall this year.  Below is the tentative schedule:

  • Farmer Fall Harvest Tournament – October 20 and 21 @ Wheatridge High School- schedule not out yet. Cost is $110 per player.  We will host one JV and one Varsity team.  Please click here to register: http://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Default.asp?n=103776&org=EHSLAX
  • Foothills Box League – starts October 2 and runs through November 6 @ Foothills Fieldhouse. Cost is $150 per player.  We will host one JV and one Varsity team.  Please click here to register: http://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Default.asp?n=103776&org=EHSLAX
  • Thursday Practices – we will start a one day a week practice starting September 13 (9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18). We will practice at the EHS lower grass field from 3-4:30pm (subject to change).
  • Yoga – we will start our off-season Yoga sessions at the EHS Wrestling Room starting 9/11 from 3-4pm.  We are introducing a new type of Yoga to the mix: Power Yoga mixed in with Kelly’s Vinyasa Yoga.
  • Strength and Conditioning – we are looking to use VoltAthletics for our strength program this year.  We are really going to focus on strength and hope we can get player buy-in.  Here is some info about Volt: https://www.voltathletics.com/.

It is our goal to improve our program each and every year.  Cougar Lacrosse now has a reputation of being a reputable program that is seeking to win our conference and to be State contenders every single year.  I thank our awesome coaching staff and our wonderful parents for all you do.

Player development is a key initiative.  We, the coaching staff, totally understand that there are multi-sport athletes and that academics take precedence – we support these endeavors fully.  But, if possible, we would love to see an increase in player participation this off-season.

Character – Accountability – Respect – Effort – Selflessness – Camaraderie – Discipline

Mental strength and commitment will be two key factors in our run to become State Champions.

So proud to be a Cougar,
